Getting to Know Alex!
Sports Achievements: "Freshman year I played on the freshman soccer team.I decided most my interest is in lacrosse and I dropped outdoor soccer and picked up indoor lacrosse and stayed with my indoor team the Hornets."
Other Interests: "Most my time is worked around sports other then family and friends."
Favorite Athlete: "A few years ago I went to a Lacrosse camp run by Kelly Amonte, who is the coach of the Northwestern Wildcats. Many of the players were there to help coach us and teach us new things and one of the players that really stood out to me was Hillary Bowen. Her skills are really impressive and she is a really kind, outgoing person."
Plans for Next Year: "Next year I hope I have a great season like this year and continue to get better. I hope I can help the new players as well."
How she feels about the Lacrosse Program: "I have been playing lacrosse for about 6-7 years now and each year the sport seems to get bigger and people are gaining more interest. I've seen how much it has grown and its really starting to get noticed. I hope it will soon be a funded sport it would make things a lot easier."
What the coach had to say about his pick for this week: "Alex was leading goal scorer in 2010 with 50 goals and 5 assists. Alex is a Major Component to our teams success!" In 2011 Alex was her teams 3rd highest goal scorer with 38 goals and 40 assists!
